Sep 15 White Paper on Type-Approval Requirements for E-Bikes Available for Download

Not so relevant in the UK but on 1 January 2017, (the EU is seeing a big growth in Ebikes that can go over 15MPH, the "speed pedelec" the new type-approval, which includes most types of electric bicycles, enters into force. The Bike Europe White Paper which includes the latest update on the type-approval requirements for e-bikes can be seen here..Electric bikes (250W 25KM/h) are mentioned but no bound by these rules. It is however pertinent for Electric trikes excluding trikes for the less-able.
